I LOOVE love. I do, I just love it. And Valentines day has had a special place in my heart ever since the days of home made doily cards back in elementary school. Really, I just love any excuse to celebrate. But especially this day,a day of chocolate, love notes, and the whole country embracing for just one day the ridiculous but sometimes endearing cheesiness that so often accompanies this crazy being in love business. So let’s do some celebrating shall we?!

This is for all those guys out here who are stumped for a stellar gift that’ll light her up! What could be better than giving her an excuse to get dressed up,  sweeping her off to a gorgeous spot and have somebody capture priceless images of the two of you just being YOU?! Come on, you know she’d love it. You don’t even have to come up with the place, we’ll talk about the style that fits you guys and I’ll find one for you! And girls! Men are so hard to buy for! But what man doesn’t love a picture of him holding the woman he loves?!

And singles! Celebrate with your best friend! Or, you know your mom would flip over a mother-daughter shoot! Guys! Don’t just think this photo shoot jazz is all about flowers and goo goo eyes. Some rules: You must book your session by Feburary 14th (at which time I’ll get you this lovely gift wrapped voucher to deliver!). You can wait until after the 14th to decide on a date for the shoot but it can happen no later than March 14th.

I have such a special shoot to share with you today!

Alex and John have been friends of ours for over a year. We couldn’t have more respect or love for everything these two are! We’ve been blown away watching them do a long distance marriage SO well for their first 8 months as the Navy’s got them stationed in different states. Alex is getting ready to be deployed and John had the brilliant idea of doing a photo shoot while she was over here saying goodbye.

They’re so giddy when they are in the same place, it’s BEAUTIFUL.

Eric and I spent almost our entire dating/engagement apart. Every little weekend one of us got to fly across the country and see the other, I took a bazillion pictures and would cherish them for months. Seriously, I took way too many pictures. They were what sustained me through all the hundreds of miles between us! There’s something profound captured in a photo that goes beyond words and speaks to the heart of things. I could hear his voice, or read and re-read letters, emails and messages… but there was something somehow even more special about the pictures. They kept US so real to me, even with all distance and time that separated us.

I hope these pictures carry the same power we felt then to connect you two now!  It was such an honor to capture your love, guys. You RADIATE. Love for each other, love for Jesus. Thank you both for your service and sacrifice and for the hope and faith your lives are saturated with. May these shots bring you so much life in the coming months!! WE LOVE YOU!
